Title:
"Time in other locations" always show Chongqing for GMT+8
Status in The Date and Time Indicator:
Confirmed
Status in “indicator-datetime” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Steps to reproduce:
1.
sudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata
Set the timezone to be Asia/Hong_Kong
2.
date
Verify that it shows "HKT"
3.
check "Time in other locations" to enable this feature.
The corresponding menu would show "UTC", "Chongqing", "Hong Kong".
"Chongqing" is not expected.
4.
By clicking "Chongqing", "Hong Kong" would disappear.
Probable reasons (I haven't checked code):
1.
"Chongqing" is somehow hard coded for GMT+8
2.
Asia/Chongqing is the auto detection result of my PC. I'm in Shenzhen though. The auto detection is implicitly called.
