Status in “indicator-appmenu” package in Ubuntu:
  In Progress

Bug description:
  Binary package indicator-appmenu currently ships
  /usr/lib/indicators3/7/libappmenu.la file. Per Debian Policy section
  10.2, this should be avoided. See:
