  compiz crashed with SIGSEGV

  On startup. Only change to system is new drives fitted. A symptom
  seems to be that the font used inside nautilus, and for launcher
  tooltips plus the clock in the menu bar, is *tiny* and not
  configurable through any of the font settings.
