Title:
locale's time format is not used in clock applet's "locations"
Status in “indicator-datetime” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
1) Set locale to "English (Denmark)" and set "Apply System-Wide" so that 24-hour time is used
System Settings > Language Support > Regional Formats > English (Denmark) > Apply System-Wide
2) logout and then log back in
3) set locations to be shown in clock applet
gsettings set com.canonical.indicator.datetime show-locations true; gsettings set com.canonical.indicator.datetime locations "['America/Denver Denver']"
4) In clock applet, notice how "location times" (i.e., Denver) is
displayed in 24-hour time.
5) set a custom presentation in top-panel so day shows before month (e.g., "18 Nov" instead of "Nov 18")
gsettings set com.canonical.indicator.datetime custom-time-format "%a %e %b %R"; gsettings set com.canonical.indicator.datetime time-format custom
6) In clock applet, notice how "location times" (i.e., Denver) is now
displayed in 12-hour time without A.M/P.M., and the time displayed in
the top-panel (and locale) is 24-hour time.
