[Bug 1297153] Re: Lock screen gives no indication that session is locked rather than logged out

That would be better than nothing. But it would change the triangles
from something only people on multi-user systems need to notice and
understand, to something that everyone who ever locks their session
needs to notice and understand. I doubt many people notice them in the
first place.

Title:
Lock screen gives no indication that session is locked rather than
  logged out

Status in Unity:
  New
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Problem occurs with: unity 7.1.2+14.04.20140321-0ubuntu1, Ubuntu Trusty
Does not occur with: Ubuntu 13.10

  1. On a system where yours is the only user account, lock the screen.

What you see: There is no way to tell that you are still logged in.

What you should see: It is obvious that you are still logged in.

This is a regression. It will likely lead to confusion and support
calls, as people think the Lock function has logged them out
(discarding unsaved documents, cancelling downloads, and so on) rather
  than just locking the session.
