[Bug 1298088] Re: battery indicator is hidden when no battery is present

 

Ah, this is a bug in the design. Where there is a battery slot with no
battery in it, its menu item should say "Battery (not present)". But
with the current design, that item will never appear, unless there
happen to be any other chargeable components connected to ensure that
the menu is present at all!

So the default "When a battery is present" setting needs to change to
something meaning "When a battery, battery slot, or anything chargeable
is present". But that's much too long for a menu item, so we need a
shorter way of saying it.
