Title:
  [Regression] Unity Gestures: Launcher doesn't slide in

Bug description:
  I just tried Ubuntu 12.04.4 from a USB stick to compare it to 14.04.
  On 12.04 the launcher does slide in beautifully and in sync with the fingers when swiping with 4 fingers from left to right on a touchpad.

  The problem:
  On 14.04 the launcher suddenly appears, giving no hint on whether the gesture acually works or how far the launcher is slided in.
