Yes I use unity.

When I click the menu where I can see the suspend/logout/shutdown in the list.
Suspend: works
Logout: shows me the pop up box giving me an option to log out and switch user. when I click log out it does not work and brings me back to the desktop.
Shutdown: also shows me the same pop up box with the option as log out and switch user. when I click its does not work.

And also the lock screen also does not work I have raised a separete bug
for that but did not get any response.

The problem with the lock screen is when i click the screen turn black
when i make a mose movment or a key press it brings back my desktop with
out asking for my password. FYI I did set a password.

Referance to the other bug.

Thanks, looking for your support on fixing this its becoming a pain to
use the terminal to shutdow. and sad that I can't lock my screen.

  poweroff/reboot/logout does not work

  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I just installed ubuntu 14.04 amd 64bit the poweroff/reboot/logoff
  don't seem to work. I did install power-commonds its worked for the
  firs time and now its does not work.
