Status in “indicator-sound” package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
After upgrade to 14.04, sound indicator used to work but then suddenly
disappeared. Logout/login/reboot and cleaning pulse directories
doesn't help. Sound indicator still works on the login screen though.
