[Bug 1317963] Re: Apps disappeared from Unity Lens

This issue was reported in Ubuntu Forums in 2011 the problem appears to
be a corrupted .cache. I removed $HOME/.cache and after a log out/log
in, dash went back to its normal behaviour.

Title:
  Apps disappeared from Unity Lens

Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
My apps were in the Dash yesterday. Today they are not. It's possible that they disappeared after a Software Update. It doesn't matter if Applicaions are highlighted or not in Categories or Sources. I've tried removing & reinstalling unity-lens-applications package but to no effect.
PS I've verified that the desktop files are still in /usr/share/applications
