[Bug 1318425] Re: The time shown in the Unity panel does not update anymore
Thanks, it would be better if you could test the official proposed
update rather than the ppa though, that way you could help confirm the
update is good and can be published as a stable update for the benefit
of all Ubuntu users

Bug description:
After upgrading Ubuntu to 14.04 I noticed that the time is often not
updating in Unity.
The output of the date command is correct and updating. I also have
automatic time update configured in the time settings.
If I kill the indicator-datetime-service process the time indicator
updates to the right value, then it changes seconds once or twice, but
then it immediately freezes again.
I connected to it using strace but it seems frozen.
While frozen, the time and date settings will not appear while opened
from the time and date applet. The time is correct inside the multi-
timezone view.
My settings can be seen in the screenshot attached to this bug. I can
provide more debugging information upon request.
I am running:
Ubuntu 14.04
unity:
Installed: 7.2.0+14.04.20140423-0ubuntu1.2
Candidate: 7.2.0+14.04.20140423-0ubuntu1.2
