Thanks for taking time to enter this bug report and make Ubuntu better.

Hmm, I do not hear the drums when just using the lock screen now in
Unity.  This is on 14.04.  It's not clear from your bug report which
version of Ubuntu you are using, so could you please do an "apport-
collect 1320999" from a terminal to help us better diagnose this issue?

  Drums sound when screen locks

Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Since Trusty, the drums now sound when the screen locks.  To
  reproduce, just leave your computer untouched for 10 minutes.

  I believe this is an unintentional side-effect of the use of unity-
  greeter instead of gnome-screensaver.  I can't see any usability
  benefit, and it can even be mildly annoying.
