[Bug 1324068] Re: Brightness slider becomes ineffective with auto brightness turned on
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1314678 ***

The slider in System Settings itself has exactly the same problem, so
removing the one from the indicator menu won't fix the underlying bug.

"Display brightness" adjustable but does nothing when "Adjust automatically" is on

Title:
Brightness slider becomes ineffective with auto brightness turned on
Status in The Power Indicator:
New
Status in “indicator-power” package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
1. Go to system settings
2. open brightness panel
3. make sure auto brightness is ticked.
4. drag down the battery indicator from the top
5. try to change the brightness
What happens:
The slider moves but the brightness remains the same
What should happen:
probably the slider should be greyed out and not movable with the mention that auto brightness is on and needs to be turned off.
Personally I think we are really showing too many indicators in the OS
