Title:
  Sound indicator disapear

Status in “indicator-sound” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Hello,
I use Ubuntu 14.04 LTS on Unity.

Because I have 16GB of RAM, I had created a tmpfs of 8GB for the /home folder.
On startup my physical personal folder is copied in the tmpfs (small personnal folder, because I have others HDD to store my data) with rsync.
So, each 20s rsync is called to syncronise my changes in RAM with the real HDD.

All programs work correctly with this installation, the startup is
fast and the computer is very fast (1s to launch approximately
15programs simultaneously, including Firefox and Thunderbird who have
  a big cache)

So, now, the only problem is the sound indicator had disapear.
I can set the volume with the control panel, and I can play sound without any problems, but the sound indicator is not present.
I don't know if a special manipulations is necessary to the sound indicator works, I you have idea I can try to confirm it's a bug and not just an error in my manipulations, but if the problem is just because I use a tmpfs, fix this bug can be very interesting :)

  Thank you :)

PS: All others indicators are present, the problem is only for the sound indicator.
