Any solutions yet? I have the same problem.

* Is this reproducible?
It happens after some time ... ~1-2 hours of normal use of nautilus for copying, moving, browsing files

* Is that happening to nautilus only?
Yes
* What desktop environment do you use?
Ubuntu Unity 12.04 64 bit

  nautilus menu bar disappears

Status in “indicator-appmenu” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  Sometimes I can not access the menu bar. Specifically, for example, when I select "File" options are missing(invisible). I do not have this problem with other applications.
  My pc is never extinguished, only to sleep regularly.
