Title:
Cannot raise window on click
Status in Unity:
Confirmed
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Sometimes but not always, I cannot raise windows (and cannot get focus
as well ) by clicking on them.
As a workaround, I could maximize and un-maximize, and after un-
maximize the window can get focus. However the window is still not
raised above other windows. Also, after I click other windows, this
window lose focus and the above problem happens again.
I have to say, in most cases I met, the problem happens with
Mathematica -- a property software. However, as it is widely used, and
I only have this problem in Unity / Compiz, not Gnome Shell or kwin. I
guess it may be a bug of Unity / Compiz.
For example, in the attached figure below, if I click the TagSet
window, it cannot get focus or being raised.
