[Bug 972199] Re: "Attached devices" doesn't show webcams or scanners
Aritchie, it's unlikely to be removed from 12.04, because it's not a high-impact bug.

Bug description:
When I plug in a webcam or the scanner this isn't shown under
"attached devices" as in 11.10. Only "printer" is shown there - which
is a network printer which is connected already when I boot the PC.
When I plugin the webcam before I boot I also can't see it - but the
webcam works fine for example with cheese.
