Bug description:
  Steps to reproduce:

  - Install gnome-session-flashback and retext.
  - Log into the "GNOME Flashback (Metacity)" session.
  - Launch ReText.

  Expected result: ReText window has a menu bar.
  Got: ReText does not have a menu bar.
