Sorry for bothering you again but can you run in a terminal (not a tty,
just a normal gnome-terminal)

unity --replace > unity.log

They try to shutdown using the session indicator. Then attach the file
unity.log here.

Bug description:
  Recently i have upgraded from 14.04 to 14.10. I am unable to shutdown
  my system as when i click on shutdown instead of shutdown it just
  logged me out.
