Ubuntu 12.10 reached end-of-life so it's no longer supported. Can you
still reproduce this bug on 14.04 (or laters)?

Title:
  unity slow to respond when all windows are minimized

Bug description:
  If all my application windows are minimized unity starts to respond
  slowly, in particular menu's from the notification area will not
  respond to mouse interaction also the unity sidebar, which I have set
  to auto-hide, will show up slowly.

  However if I just use Alt-Tab to select one of the minimized windows
  unity starts responding properly.
