[Bug 1120691] Re: Maximized window confuses workspace switcher

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if
you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test
it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running
apport-collect <bug #> and any other logs that are relevant for this
particular issue.

** Description changed:

  Steps to reproduce:
  1. Place random window on screen 1 and maximize it
- 2. Click the workspace switcher
- 3. Go to screen 3 (column 1, row 2)
- 4. Click on the workspace switcher
- 5. In the launcher, click on the window from step 1.
+ 2. Click the workspace switcher
+ 3. Go to viewport 3 (column 1, row 2)
+ 4. Click on the workspace switcher
+ 5. In the launcher, click on the window from step 1.

These steps will get you to window 3 even though logically you should be
  on window 1.

There are several other inconsistencies that manifest with windows
between workspaces and some others that manifest sporadically (which I
  cannot really recall right now)
