Title:
Unity loses applications with no way to get back

Status in Unity:

Status in unity package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
I launched snes9x-gtk, unfortunately the running program doesn't add
itself to the unity bar and if I minimize it or click away from it I
cannot get back to it. It doesn't appear on the alt-tab selection
either. As far as I know I lose all my data as soon as I minimize it.
Unlike another bug report this program doesn't have a systray.
