Message #31699
[Bug 1447372] Re: Launching an application by clicking in dash results is artificially slowed down (by 500ms)
** Description changed:
As per the smart-scopes work and per the fix for lp:1189088, it has been
introduced a regression that caused unity to wait 500ms after the user a
clicked over an application icon before activating it.
Basically unity waits for a possible double click on every dash icon,
and this slows down the activation of application icons using the mouse.
1) Press Super+A
2) Click over an application icon to launch it
Expected result:
3) The dash closes immediately and the app is launched
Actual result:
- 3) The dash is kept open for 500ms (or slightly more) and finally it launches the application
+ 3) The dash is kept open for 500ms (or slightly more) and finally it launches the
+ application
+ The same happens in the command scope (that you can see by pressing Alt+F2).
This makes the unity dash look slower in launching an app.
