IMO #9 is absolutely related and offers some workarounds (at least for
me). I had the same issue and now it works like expected

Bug description:
  When UI scale factor is at intermediate values from 1.0-2.0 and from
  2.0-3.0 the cursor size is not updated to match current settings.
