Message #34232
[Bug 1487707] [NEW] QMenu aboutToShow signal is not sent
Public bug reported:
On Ubuntu 15.04 dynamic menu changes are not reflected in QT4/QT5 applications.
Attached sample application enables/disables menu items before menu is shown, but this does not work when global menu is used.
It can be compiled by both qmake(qt5) and qmake-qt4. Since aboutToShow signal is not delivered to the application, it can not dynamically adjust QMenu fields.
Moreover I noticed that env. varible APPMENU_DISPLAY_BOTH=1 works only
with qt4 applications.
indicator-appmenu: 15.02.0+15.04.20150302-0ubuntu1
appmenu-qt: 0.2.7+14.04.20140305-0ubuntu2
appmenu-qt5: 0.3.0+15.04.20150121-0ubuntu3
** Affects: indicator-appmenu (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** Tags: abouttoshow qmenu
** Attachment added: "Reproducible test case"
