Thank you for your bug report. That ticket is quite old and we didn't
get recent report of the problem, also it seems to work correctly now,
closing. Feel free to reopen if you can still reproduce in more recent
versions

  [regression] - unity dash, panel application switcher not shown in

Bug description:
  With last unity update on Raring I notice a regression

  giovanni@trumpet-fish:~$ apt-cache policy unity

  The unity dash, the panel menu and the application switcher (alt+tab) are not shown in foreground.
  If I minimize all the windows (using WIN+D too) they show correctly but while I have a window maximized I cannot see anythink.

  To reproduce this I do this

  1. open applications and maximize it (I use Chrome and termitator)
  2. try to see the dash or application switcher or icons menu on the panel and nothing is shown, I suppose they are rendered below the applications. 
  Sometimes they appear so I do this to reproduce the issue
  3. WIN+D (show the desktop)
  4. WIN+D (to restore apps)
  5. try to see the dash or application switcher or icons menu on the panel and nothing is show
