Title:
Search isn't completed before launching app

Status in Unity:

Status in unity package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
Suppose you type: [Windows button] l y x [enter]

If you do this slow enough, it will launch Lyx as expected. However if
you do it too quickly, it will launch Libre Office Writer!

The problem is that it starts searching for "l", and then "ly" and
then "lyx", and when you press enter it just launches whatever is
shown first, even if it isn't even the result of a search for "lyx".
This is silly. I should never have to wait for my computer - it should
  wait for me!

A possible solution: When you press enter, check if the last search
was started very recently. If it was, wait 0.5 seconds or for it to
complete (whichever is quicker) and then handle the enter press.
