Title:
Workplace switcher allows windows to be placed behind the top bar
Status in compiz package in Ubuntu:
Triaged
Bug description:
Ubuntu 11.04
When dragging windows around in workplace switcher, the top bar is not
visible in any of the four squares. Because of this, windows can be
dragged around so that their titlebars are where the top bar usually
is on the desktop (top bar being the one with the ubuntu button and
the power menu etc). This has the consequence that, once the user
comes out of workplace switcher mode, they cannot access the window
controls nor move it by dragging, as the window's title bar is hidden
behind the desktop top bar. Obviously you can hold down ALT or just go
back into workplace switcher to move the window back into the middle
of the desktop, but it still makes the system look less polished and
professional when this sort of thing can happen - as usually it is
impossible to drag a window further up than the top bar allows.
