Thank you for your bug report, the issue is some years old and there are
been no recent report about similar problem, could you try with a more
recent version to see if it's working for you as well now?

  Applications in 'Recent Apps' on Ubuntu Dash Do not launch.

Bug description:
  Clicking on applications in the Ubuntu Dash home or 'Recent Apps'
  section does nothing. It just keeps the apps highlighted. It doesn't
  respond to clicks.
