  12.04 ubuntu shutdown hangs

Status in indicator-session package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Hi, I am using Ubuntu 12.04 running on HP Probook 4430s, since few days my system hangs while I give the shutdown/poweroff/halt/reboot command or while I press the reboot/shutdown button in the right top corner of the ubuntu desktop.
  My system is  x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux. 3.2.0-44-generic
  and it has the following graphics controller

  How to solve the issue, please help.
