I don't see why not.  I'm happy for classicmenu-indicator to be removed
as well.  I'll upload the new version as soon as it is released.

Bug description:
  gnome-menus2 has been replaced upstream by gnome-menus
  gnome-menus2 was removed from Debian in May 2015 after all reverse dependencies had switched to gnome-menus

  This bug is to track the last remaining packages in Ubuntu still
  depending on gnome-menus (and python-gmenu, libgnome-menu-dev, etc.)
