  App Menus Missing multiple apps

Status in indicator-appmenu package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  Appmenu is missing from Evolution, Terminal, Rhythmbox, gedit and
  probably others.  I did an in-place upgrade from 15.10 to 16.04.  I
  don't think the problem was there right away.  I am sure the menu was
  present in Evolution initially.  I noticed that I had to hover over
  the area a few times to get the menu to appear.  Now it is totally
  gone.
