Bug description:
  Binary package hint: unity

  Reproduce:

    Applications->All Applications
    Click top-left distro-icon once (hide launcher)
    Click top-left distro-icon once (show launcher big icons)
    Click "Games"

  At this point the 1.5 pages of icons on "All Applications" will be
  briefly shown for ~1 second.  Ideally the icon list should be cleared
  before switching to a different page.  This way icons could be
  "dynamically added", but the user would not see icons being
  "dynamically removed".
