Hello, thanks for the bug report.

Unfortunately, this is not something that we're able to fix.

Information that you choose to store in your encrypted home directory is
not available until you enter a password and login.  This means that
it's not available at startup time, before you've entered your password.

Bug description:
Binary package hint: ecryptfs-utils

I am using fstab and smbfs to mount my nas-box on startup since 2-3 years on ubuntu. You have to provide an extra mount-option for a credentials file for user and password.

//IP-Address/SharedFolderName /media/nas cifs credentials=/home/bernd/.smbcredentials,iocharset=utf8,codepage=cp850,uid=1000,gid=1000 0 0

Since I am using the encrypted home directory on jaunty the automount on startup doesn't work anymore. If I put my credential file on another place (e.g: /opt) the automount works fine.
