If you're talking about the verbal analogy «feet / two | toes», I
don't see the problem with it. Hands have 10 fingers and feet have 10
toes. Finger and toe can't be used indistinctly in English, they refer
to different extremities.

Do you remember some other problematic analogy? It's difficult to
improve them if we don't know where exactly the problems are.
