[Bug 863154] Re: Wacom Bamboo One tablet random coordinate malfunctions

Hi everybody,

Just got a bamboo connect ctl-470 and was having the same problem. I am
using oneiric so a installed the new driver as explained in this post :

https://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_name=CAG1eVf398pnsDJ

Then ubuntu finally recognized the wacom tablet but got the same problem
you are getting.

I found that if I removed Compiz ( sudo apt-get remove compiz, sudo
apt-get remove compiz-core )and reboot, the tablet works just fine
in gimp.

Im kind of new to Linux and dont know what exactly does Compiz do. I
have been working one day and havent noticed a difference since I
removed it ( just a grey background when im logging in for a cople of
seconds ) Everything else seems fine. Im using this as a temporary
solution to my problem.

Can somebody explain what problems can I possible get because of this
solution?
