Hi,

If you installed the version from the repo, you should already have that dependencies.
You can install them by running:
sudo apt-get -f install

But my guess is that you are not tunning the Ubuntu package (I installed
this one correctly from the ppa)

Could you please run the following commands and post the results:
apt-cache policy calibre calibre-bin
type calibre
