[Bug 1938211] [NEW] Gimp 2.10 crashed with fatal error: aborted

Public bug reported:

System: Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS with kernel version 5.10.4-051004-generic
Desktop: Xfce 4.12 with openbox wm.

Gimp 2.10 crashes several times a day during, usually when I click into
the Gimp window (Gimp usually is on a second screen connected to
laptop). Was not happening with Gimp 2.8. This is the first time an
error log was generated.
