Public bug reported:

Due to recurring, uncommunicated changes, the .desktop file name of the
Ubuntu Software icon of the Snap Store changed after beta freeze from
snap-store_snap-store. Desktop to snap-store_ubuntu-software.desktop.
This caused the icon to completely disappear from Edubuntu's default
dock.

As a side note, this has happened several times this cycle, completely
uncommunicated.
