Message #10386
[Bug 2051397] [NEW] There is a newer version
Public bug reported:
I just learned that the version 2.1.15 is a "very old version"
preferences/34018/2). In fact, this version was published on Mar 7,
2020, or even earlier. It's the oldest release in the github project
(https://github.com/ankitects/anki/releases?page=6). I came across this
topic because I cannot open the settings dialog (same as link above).
There is an up-to-date version 23.12.1.
We can see that all releases of ubuntu have +- the same version:
Package anki
focal (20.04LTS) 2.1.15+dfsg-1: all
jammy (22.04LTS) 2.1.15+dfsg-3: all
lunar (23.04) 2.1.15+dfsg-3ubuntu1: all
mantic (23.10) 2.1.15+dfsg-3ubuntu1: all
noble (misc) 2.1.15+dfsg-3ubuntu1: all
Is there a good reason why no newer version is in the repos?
** Affects: anki (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
