Fabian, thank you so much!
I've added these files to pantheon-xsession-settings package, and the fix
has already landed to the daily PPA.
I've also made gnome-settings-daemon a required component for gnome-session
and removed it from cerbere's default list of daemons. If you're having
trouble with gnome-settings-daemon, try removing it from cerbere's list.
