Such software must be fixed anyway because it misbehaves on systems with
languages other than English too.

A proper request of desktop folder name via xdg-user-dirs returns home
folder as desktop folder, so backwards compatibility is preserved.

Bug description:
  We removed the desktop from Nautilus/XDG's standpoint, now we just
  need to *actually* remove the folder :-)

  It seems that it gets created by a .desktop file Ubiquity places
  there.
