sorry but don't see your point. i didn't say it interrupts while using a 
filemanager. the problem appears when i got connected to the network and 
start  browsing or even don't do anything. after a short while the 
network says i'm still connected, but when i click on connection 
information there it says only 5mb/s and i can't load any pages. i have 
to reconnect to get into the network again. i obeserved it and noticed 
that i don't even need to do something, just watch my notebook and wait 
so the internet "crashes" because of eduroam. others with ubuntu 10.10 
don't have any problems getting connected with eduroam. just natty 
narwhal. the linux supporter at our college even has the problem and he 
can't figuere out any problems in the college network.
it has to be something wrong in the ubuntu version, some bug or 
something else.

would be excited to hear some new news.

Status in nautilus-elementary:
  New

Bug description:
  On our Campus all mobile devices with linux derivations can use the eduroam key to access the wireless lan.
  connection can be established right from the start, but after a short while like 5min, the birate throttles down from 54mb/s to 5mb/s and no webpage can the load. the sign in the tray shows connected to internet , but no site can be loaded.
  wirelesslan is working right at home and any other places with wirelesslan
