Re: [Bug 789970] [NEW] Render special folders as toplevel like Home
status confirmed
importance medium
I implemented home, network and trash icons, and I think you are right,
it would be better with more icons. I stopped to implement more icons
because the icons were hardcoded, we'll have to find a generic way to
handle that (or at least don't need 10 lines for an icons, an array
could do the trick).
However, I am not sure how Music or Pictures should be handled:
- only the icons or the icon and the name?
- only "Music", or "Home > Music"?

Title:
Render special folders as toplevel like Home
Status in Marlin:
Confirmed
Bug description:
I really like how Home is rendered with an icon as a sort of virtual
toplevel.
How about rendering Music, Films, Pictures and so on the same way? In
the future it could also apply to Network shares once they are
supported. And like Home, you could still type in the entry and see
the whole location.
