[Bug 790403] Re: Hide folders according to .hidden file

The "Desktop" folder Firefox insists on creating even if it's the wrong name for the Desktop folder or I don't have one. Renaming it wouldn't help because it would be re-created under the same name.
The empty "lost+found" folder that shows up regardless of whether there's anything in there is hardcorded and therefore can't be renamed.

Now you made me realise both of these are specific issues with some
software. I wouldn't need that for any folders I created myself. In
hindsight, those should probably solved differently. Perhaps lost+found
could be hidden by default, or only if empty?

Title:
Hide folders according to .hidden file

Status in Marlin:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
A handy way to hide folders is to list them in a .hidden file in the
folder they're contained it. It would be nice if Marlin did honor
  this, or a similar mechanism.
