[Bug 801173] Re: Programname Marlin is not unique

And the last update of this Marlin is in 2004, there is no package in
Ubuntu, I don't think the packages could conflict. And if there are any
conflicts, our marlin will be named marlin-file-browser.

Title:
  Programname Marlin is not unique

Status in Marlin:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
There is an Audio Sample Editor named Marlin, hosted on sorceforge: http://marlin.sourceforge.net/ It is included into several linux-distributions under the Packagename marlin. This might lead to compatibility-problems and will confuse people.
So, I think you should think about renaming the project. Renames are easier if done early, so you might do it soon, before you program becomes known under the name marlin.
