ah no what I was showing in the screenshot was that I changed the text
color to be red so you could obviously tell that the icons weren't
matching the text.

  symbolic icon colors arent' rendered correctly

Bug description:
  icons in the -symbolic namespace are supposed to be automatically
  assigned their color. This doesn't seem to be working in Marlin at the
  moment. It may have to do with the following terminal output:

  [Gtk] gtk_symbolic_color_new_literal: assertion `color != NULL' failed
