exact renaming multiples files at once is usually done via applications
called bulk renamer. There's none actually in marlin and no support for
external ones at the moment. I mark this as wishlist.

Bug description:
  At the moment it isn't possible to rename multiple files at once by
  selecting them and choose rename? Nothing happens if I choose rename
  when multiple items are selected.
