[Bug 1331546] [NEW] Can Apache2 version 2.2 (from Ubuntu 12.04) be added to the 14.04 repository?
You have been subscribed to a public bug:
Hello. (Relative newbie here).
It seems that the current version of Apache2 (2.4) has broken a number
of packages written for Apache2 version 2.2, and a bunch of people are
asking for help on askubuntu.com for ways to install Apache version
2.2.22 (which was in the Ubuntu 12.04 repository) in the new Ubuntu
14.04 LTS.
The consensus replies are that we'd need to either compile Apache2 2.2
from the source, or roll back to Ubuntu 12.04, since Apache2 version 2.2
is not in the current Ubuntu repository.
So could Ubuntu/Canonical make the existing Apache2 version 2.2.22
package that's in the 12.04 repository available in the 14.04
repository?
Thank you much!
