[Bug 1331546] Re: Can Apache2 version 2.2 (from Ubuntu 12.04) be added to the 14.04 repository?
Sorry, this is very unlikely to happen in the official repositories. I
suggest that users who want older software use an older release. 12.04
is supported until April 2017.
If somebody wants to maintain a PPA which contains a forward port of
Apache 2.2 to Trusty, then please feel free to do so, and advertise it
here. Unless a Canonical customer requests it though, we won't be doing
it, and I doubt the wider Ubuntu Server Team will do so either.
